Comments about Marmot Aura 2P - 2 Person Tent: Marmot tents in my opinion are the best tents out there. Super light, but durable and sturdy. This tent used with a compression sack - stuffs down to next to nothing!

Comments about Marmot Aura 2P - 2 Person Tent: I took this tent on a 4 night stay in the Sierra backcountry. It's not the easiest tent to sent up, but with a little thought, it goes right up. What I really liked was the near vertical interior walls that made this a true 2-person backcountry tent. I used it solo, but the tent was quite roomy, and could easily sleep 2. I'm 6'3", and slept with pack, and gear (not food) inside the tent next to me. Much better than my last so called 2-man tent. There was minimal rain during the trip, and never had any problems with condensation.

I would not say that the Aura 2P would not handle lighter snow loads. I think it will handle lighter snow loads quite well. Heavier snow loads in high winds would be more problematic. The Aura 2P has 3 poles to the frame, while tnets designed for high winds and heavy snow loads like the VE 25 and Thor 2P would have 4 or more poles.Answered on 2/5/2013 by Anonymous
