For short periods of time you could put it in a compression sack. It the tent stayed in the compression sack too long the increased pressure could damage material and coatings.

    Hello,
I purchased the slightly soiled tent, if this means it has been used, do I need to water proof spray this tent? If so what should I use for a Marmot tent. If these tents need to be treated how often should this be done?

  • Q:

Hi, how many guy-out points does this tent have? Does it have a wind rating at all? I am interested in knowing how it performs in windy conditions. Thanks.
    Asked on 3/14/2012 by Dennis

      A:

The Marmot EarlyLight 2P - 2 Person Tent has 7 guy out points. In windy conditions make sure to use these points. With 2 hoop frame the guying will be a great enhancement to tent stability in the wind.

  • Q:

where does the small 9" tube go? I am assuming that it is the spreader pole refereed to in the spec sheet

      A:

This is a repair splint for a pole in case the pole breaks in the field which would brace the pole in a field repair so you can have a shelter to finish your trip.

  • Q:

Can you fold down the solid material on the doors while leaving the no see um mesh intact so that you can see out of the door while you are inside? It would be nice to have a view out of the doors that does not allow the bugs in!
    Asked on 7/6/2011 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

The Marmot EarlyLight 2P - 2 Person Tent does not have a storm flap that zips up and in or down and out. The solid material is a fixed feature in the door.
