Comments about Sierra Designs Zolo 3 Tent: This tent leaked from the seam from the top of the door during a heavy rain storm in Hawaii (first time we used it). We now have to send it back to Sierra Designs at our expense. To add insult to injury, this tent was a replacement for another older Sierra Designs tent that also leaked at the seams. Has anyone else experienced leaks from the seams with this tent?

Comments about Sierra Designs Zolo 3 Tent: Downsizing from a 6-8 person tent, this was a good fit for me. I especially like the double vestibule, allowing me to keep my box tote full of supplies and dirty clothes outside the footprint of the tent (but still protected and not easily visible from the outside). After resecuring the guy lines for the fly, it proved sturdy under windy conditions. I know that I could easily have sinched it down even more to prevent the mild updraft I sometimes felt inside the tent.

The Zolo is lighter mainly because it uses 2 poles verses the Meteor Light which uses 3 poles. The additional pole in the meteor light will add torsional stability in wind over the Zolo.Answered on 6/2/2011 by Steve from Campmor

Merchant response: Not sure it this was pitched in the forest in the tropics of Hawaii, however if it was and there was a downpour then a vegetation in a dense forest can accumulated and concentrate water pouring down on the tent. Under this kind of pressure leaking is likely to happen.
