Comments about Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 1 Tent:

This tent works great for fast and light trips. There is just enough space for my 42 year old, 250 lbs., 6'2" frame. I would not want to wait out a long storm in this tent. I Spent a night in a cold rain storm (34 degrees) and stayed dry with much less condensation than expected. This tent worked well in the wind. One tent in our group had its rainfly rip and the fly creek shed the wind with no problem. The tent is more durable than the weight would suggest. I had no problem setting it up; I even did it in the rain storm mentioned above.

Comments about Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 1 Tent:

I've had this tent for over a year. I find it very easy to set up (contrary to what one reviewer here said). It does take a lot of stakes (all included), bit that seems to be common with Big Agnes tents. If you are over 5'10" you might find it cramped. I'm 5'8" and my head does brush the top when I sit up. It is a solo tent after all; you can't expect it to be roomy. The best thing about it is it is so lightweight!! I just put the whole thing, stuff sack and all, at the top of my pack so I can get it first thing to set it up. It is one of the lighter items in my pack. I have has a problem recently with one of the zippers sticking a little, but so far it is still working.
If you can spend the money, consider getting the UL2 as a solo tent -- it doesn't weigh that much more, and gives you more room.

Comments about Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 1 Tent:

I am returning this tent because of the flimsy material it is made from. I also found the zippers to be hard to operate and they look cheap. It was difficult to set up, partly because the instructions were hard to follow.

Comments about Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 1 Tent:

Campmor had the most competitive price and the best line of products available. This little tent is exaclty what I needed for light backpacking on the Colorado Trail. Will replace an older tent that was just too heavy for a weekend trip or an extended solo trip where weight and space were a priority.

Comments about Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 1 Tent:

Make sure the fly is tight before turning in if rain is expected. Two or maybe even four extra stakes would make that easier, but I made it work with the included set once I realized what I needed to do.

              A:

The Big Agnes Fly Creek UL 1 Tent is free standing and will fly away in a strong wind. Staking or mooring a tent is key keeping a tent where you set it up.
