Comments about Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Rectangular Pad - Long 78" x 25" Wide: I go out for week or two at a time usually on long trails but sometimes off trail with only what I can carry on my back. I've used it on bare ground (cleared it first), in my tent, and on raised campground platforms. It is easy to clean, easy to blow up and deflate, and easy to stuff in the bottom of your bag. It keeps you well of the ground. It is very warm. I start hiking in May when there are a lot of patches of snow in the mountains and is still quite cold. This product is so warm it actually reflects your body heat back up at you. As it starts to get warm in July this is a con because you will sweat between your body and the pad (a light sheet or cover will take care of this). BEWARE of sleeping bag zippers. Unless it is really cold I usually don't sleep on my back with my mummy bag totally zipped up. If the zipper head (zipped half way down) gets between my body and the pad microscopic holes can form. The only way to find these holes is to submerge the pad (so you need a pool, a heavy person becase the pad will float, and a waterproof marker to mark where the streems of bubbles are coming out). The sealent that comes with the pad seals up these holes with a small dab, so I've never needed the patches that also come with it. I haven't been able to find all the holes so my pad is mostly deflated after 6 hours. I don't mind waking up once in the night to re-inflate it. If I do get tired of this I'LL BUY ANOTHER ONE JUST LIKE IT and be more carefull with the zipper. I rated it a 4 because of this. Pros

Comments about Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Rectangular Pad - Long 78" x 25" Wide: I used this pad for a bike camping trip and it met all of my expectations. It was easy to set up (I had to pause for breath only once inflating it) and repack. It was comfortable. The small size fits easily into a backpack or a pannier. I have only used it once so far, but it appears well made and durable. Pros

Comments about Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Rectangular Pad - Long 78" x 25" Wide: As a Cubmaster I spend weeks every year camping. One of my biggest complaints was finding a durable, comfortable air mattress that compresses for packing and doesn't require a pump to inflate. After the recommendation of several other Scout Masters (yes, several), I bit the bullet and ordered one. Best purchase I ever bought for camping. I can now sleep comfortably on my side, Stay warm in cold winters, don't slide off easily and don't wake up on a flat mattress. Note, the first one I bought got a hole in it after the first trip (other people said they have used them for years). I returned it and haven't had a problem in the 2 years since. Highly recommend this product and other big agnes products. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Rectangular Pad - Long 78" x 25" Wide: I've only used it for 5 nights so far, all car camping. Very comfortable and easy to inflate, but it is very slippery if you are not on perfectly level ground. Otherwise an excellent deal. Pros

Comments about Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Rectangular Pad - Long 78" x 25" Wide: I bought this for an upcoming caribou hunt in Alaska and needed something that would be comfortable and pack small. I own a ThermaRest that I thought was comfy but could not get it to pack small enough. The BA takes about 2-3 minutes to blow up, which is not a problem for me. When I slept on it a couple of nights in my backyard I was stunned how comfortable it was. I'm a big guy, 275 lbs, and comfort was important to me. If other BA products are this good, I need to start looking at them! Pros

Comments about Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Rectangular Pad - Long 78" x 25" Wide: I have the reg. length 20" wide BA Insulated air core pad and LOVE it. It's been in use for about 2 years from desert to Sierras. The husband loves his giant BA Hog Park bag, and will actually carry it (as heavy as it is) on short 1-2 night backpacks. He's been using the 25" wide BA Hinman pad; I got him the insulated Aircore to shave 2.4 pounds off the carry weight for him. I figured if I couldn't convert him to a lighter sleep system, at least we'd shave some lbs. off the pad. He loves it. By adjusting the air you put into it, you can adjust the firmness to your liking - it's like a backcountry sleep number bed. Pros

Comments about Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Rectangular Pad - Long 78" x 25" Wide: In the past I have used a air matress of humongus preportions and weight thinking this is what my old bones needed for a nights rest. This lightweight, small packing inflatable was as comfortable. It takes a bit of air to blow it up by mouth but the plus side is you do not need a bulky pump and 4D batteries. I had no issues rolling off or sliding around. Key is to inflate it hard then slightly deflate it until comfortable. Pros

Comments about Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Rectangular Pad - Long 78" x 25" Wide: Great product, packs small and is quick to inflate. The best part is how great it is to sleep on it. The surface is not slick, so even when sleeping on a slight incline, my down sleeping bag did not slide during the night. Pros
