Reviewed by 25 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » Comments about Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House with Sides & Awnings: We purchased this tent to use on as an extra "room" on an extended festival camping trip. We ended up using it as a Food Serving tent and for keeping Musical Instruments out of the elements. We had several folks help us set it up - it was not difficult, just required a lot of coordination. One of the poles arrived either bent or too thick or something - we shaved it out with a nail file and it worked just fine. Our instruments were dry and the food was kept safe. Doors were a little tricky as they were not really setup for lots of folks walking in and out of the tent, so we'd pull the doors back as far as possible. It worked fine. There were a few high wind situations where it almost blew away - but with additional tie downs/rope we kept it in place. Comments about Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House with Sides & Awnings: WE HAD TORNADO WINDS AND THIS TENT WAS GREAT ...3 HR DOWN POURS ...WISH I COULD GET A 3 ROOM ALL LIVING SPACE TENT LIKE THIS ....WOULD BE GREAT Pros

Comments about Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House with Sides & Awnings: If you need a big, dry screen house for taking the group to the state park, buy this! We've been through 4 cheaper screen tents in the 30 years we've been camping, and this is the only one that keeps everything dry inside and keeps the breeze out (when needed) without tying tarps all over the place. As far a sagging awnings that were mentioned in another review, all you have to do to prevent that is set the poles back at a steeper angle. Pros

Comments about Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House with Sides & Awnings: Used first time over Memorial weekend. Covered a 8' long picnic table with extra space to move around. During a rainy weekend, we made and ate our meals in it, and we played cards and hung out. I wasn't sure how durable the fabric was until the hail came down, and that made a believer out of me. This shelter doesn't do well in the wind, so you need to get some good guylines and extra stakes (8 guylines - 2 per pole Pros

Comments about Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House with Sides & Awnings: I've had 4 dining canopies. The cheap ones with 8 ropes to stake down and the quick setup ones with thin nylon that lets water in during downpours. While camping, and storm clouds gathered, I had to run around and try to put up plastic walls to try to keep the dining area dry. Then sit and pray for the storm to end. Pros

Comments about Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House with Sides & Awnings: Well made and easy to set up with 2 people. Because of the straight up walls it gives you a lot of covered area. Walls/flaps keep rain out if windy. Problem if it's very humid or rainy in that condensation builds up on the inside of the roof. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House with Sides & Awnings: We have used this as a shelter over our dining area and as a sleeping tent. My favorite aspects are the overall size and the ability to roll up the sides for ventilation and view. Pros

Q:
Does the fly cover the entire side so that the rain won't come in? The pictures look like there is an opening which would allow water to come in if you had the floor attachment.1 answer
A:
The Northern Breeze come with 4 side flaps that can be used as awnings with up right poles, or can be secured down to prevent wind blown rain from getting into the inside of the screen house.Q:
How do the awnings stay up? From the picture, the poles are attached to only the awning and look as if they will easily fall over.1 answer
A:
The poles would need to stabilizing lines per pole. The screen house comes with 1 set of awning poles. If you purchase more poles you can set the other awnings up.Q:
What colors are there to choose from, or is blue the only one?1 answer
A:
This item only comes in blue.Q:
Is the tent wind resistant? How much wind?1 answer
A:
The Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House with Sides & Awnings is not rated for wind. Generally high winds will damage a screen house like this. You would want to set this up in a sheltered location. Make sure the screen house is staked down and guy lines used to stablize the tent in gust of wind.Q:
Who sells the floor for it and how much is it?1 answer
A:
For information about the "snap-in floor" for the Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House contact Eureka at 800-572-8822.Q:
The review by RVer said "...everything is ties and velcro...no clamps or snaps. Furthermore, I do not know why they did not design the sidewalls to zipper or clamp shut. In high winds there is no way to keep the rainfly closed on the sides." But I see an answer that says the sides zipper shut. So, I want to know if the sides do zipper shut, and if so, do they zipper from the inside or outside? Also, we have an Equinox and love the way it snaps to the poles, so does this tent not have the snaps; does it use velcro snaps or something else?1 answer
A:
There are zippers horizontal and verticle so you can zip down the awning.Q:
How many people does it fit comfortably inside to sleep?1 answer
A:
This screen house sold as is does not have a floor in it. If you wanted to sleep inside you can buy the floor separately. It should comfortably sleep 6-7 people.Q:
Can I see through "no see um mesh" in Eureka Northern Breeze Screen House?1 answer
A:
Yes, you can see through the "no-see-um mesh". It's darker though the more open mosquito mesh netting.Q:
Will the adjustable pole number 21540wc work with the product and what is the maximum practical height you can adjust the center of the awnings to?1 answer
A:
The adjustable pole 21540 is a great choice for the awning poleQ:
How many stake loops does the Northern Breeze have? I'm thinking about buying, but if I do, I would upgrade the stakes to 12" or 15". Also, does this tent come with guyline ropes?1 answer
