I have a 20x30 foot tarp and extra poles that I bought to put over my tent for extra rain protection. Was wondering how these would work to tie the poles down to the stakes. Im not a good knot tier and need something that will stay tight in wind and with kids. This should work out good for you. there is only 1 knot that is required, and pre-stringing is not necessary. We have not heard any complaints that they have not held the line taut in wind. It could be a little tricky, if they are moved in the rain. It might begin to slip after they are moved when the rope is wet, because they are plastic.Answered on 6/28/2012 by Steve from Campmor
