Q:
How many inches of water depth must the pump have to work?1 answer
A:
The water should be at least a couple of inches deep so the siphon will not rest on the bottom of the water source. It may pick up silt from a river bed if the siphon is too close to the river bottom. If using in a bucket, then you just need enough to cover the siphon. The siphon is placed in the water and the on/off switch is on the pump unit. There are two shower head settings. It runs on 4 "D" cell batteries.Q:
Now well will the pump work at 7000 foot elevation. How hot can the water be?1 answer
A:
The pump would work at lower atmospheric pressures of 7,000 feet. It does not heat the water though.Q:
How much water does it hold? How many minutes does the supply last?1 answer
A:
This is a pump unit to move water from one source to a destination. In other words, you can use this to pump water from a bucket or water jug or even a river if you were camping next to a river. It does not heat the water nor does it filter it, merely pumps it.
