While They Last!

The Eureka! Grand Manan 7, sleeps 2-3 people and an innovative shape incorporates a new concept in tent design providing more useable floor space. The lower portion (the bottom 12"") of the walls are straight, eliminating the unusable space where the walls meet with the floor, maximizing the floor area. Additionally, the sides of the fly roll up from the ground for optimal airflow through the tent. The Grand Manan is a dome tent with fiberglass poles and 2 D-shaped doors, and has outdoor vestibules for shoe and gear storage. The full coverage fly protects against all types of weather and is easy to put on or adjust for great ventilation.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent: I do quite a bit of camping & this tent doesn't disapoint. I had it up in a Tropical storm (Huricane)with 60 MPH winds and driving rain & had no problems. I love the veltilation.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent: I am an Assistant Scout Master for my sons Boy Scout troop. I purchased 6 tents for our scout troop. We sleep 2-3 scouts in each tent from ages 11-17. We have had these tents in winds of 40-50 mph, rain storms and have not had any problems. I did spray the tent with dry camp when I first bought it mainly due to recommendations from other reviews. I bought this tent after I read many reviews on tents. We have camped in these tents about 15 nights since April 2011 mainly in bad weather. Since the scouts camp year around in all weather we seam to always pick wet and windy weather. It is fairly easy to setup and tear down. Even our 11 year old scouts can set-up and tear down the tents just fine on their own, after a couple times with help. Over all it's a great tent. The low profile rain fly that go to the ground is great in high winds.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent: Roomy, fits a queen size airbed. All of the ventilation options are useful. Vestibules are roomy. We basically spent the late summer and part of the fall sleeping in this. So far its held up well, even through several rain storms with high winds. Were very happy with this one.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent: The only drawback I can see with this tent is the weight. It's definitely not a backpacking tent unless you're divvying the gear between friends and the only thing you have to carry is this, and your share of freeze-dried vittles. Short "scout" backpacking trips are a possibility, but I wouldn't want to carry it more than 8 miles or so. Overall, it's a fantastic tent for all other purposes. Despite the cold climate of the blue-ridge mountains in the fall, the tent didn't collect any condensation from our two sleepers, and it kept us comfortable and dry even without a ground cloth. I look forward to using it more this coming spring!

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent: Great car camping tent. Footprint a little large for some spots, but we used it for a music festival and it was perfect for 2 people. Roomy inside and large vestibules hold a lot of shoes and gear. It rained and snowed and we were dry and cozy inside. Not big enough for 3. Love the vestibules, many windows and venting options. Pros

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent: We have used this tent 4 times in 2 years. Set up is difficult with fabric constantly catching on tent poles. Ridiculous rain fly would never hold up in a stiff breeze. Clear plastic windows on rain fly rotted out and cracked in year one. This is a one season tent, backyard or car camping only. Nice ventilation.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent: Vertical side make the tent more roomier. Plenty of pockets on the inside, good venting for warm weather, but when everything is zipper up still can hold in the heat, like the head room. Cons, installing the poles can be a pain, not the clip on type, but a little pratice and you can get the poles to slide through. I use for road trips on my motor bike, not a tent for hiking, too heavy, but nicely built for medium use.

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent: This tent is great. I spend a lot of weekends with my Boy Scouts and had always gone for cheaper tents. I put in the extra investment for this nice tent and cannot say enough good things. The tent is sturdy, water tight, and provides a good amount of room. With the double vestibules, it works great for 2 people and a large amount of gear. Like any 3 person tent, 3 people would be pushing the limits of comfort. I have not tried all the ventilation options yet, but it looks like you can open up the tent and cool it off pretty easily. If you want a good tent, this is the one for the money!

Comments about Eureka! Grand Manan 7 Tent: Set up easy. Nice ventilation. Continuous sleeves made threading poles easier, but not sure if sleeves are better than clips? Did not put it to the test, but full fly looks like it would really protect in foul weather. Got some admiring comments from fellow campers.
