Comments about Texsport Tent Mallet: I've owned one of these for awhile - always have it with me on Boy Scout camping trips. Just bought this one to donate to the troop since the scouts were always borrowing mine!

Comments about Texsport Tent Mallet: works as good as a metal hammer but lighter weight. Use it to drive 10 inch tent stakes with no problems. Great for pulling stakes out.

Comments about Texsport Tent Mallet: I love this tent mallet. I know a lot of people told me to use a rock to pound in the poles when I set up my tent, but I primarily was in the Mojave Desert and sometimes there are not good enough rocks in a close proximity in certain areas where I camped. Anyway, this mallet is super light and very heavy duty in my opinion. It sure beat using my hiking boot to pound in the stakes. Great price too!

Comments about Texsport Tent Mallet: Worked well.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Texsport Tent Mallet: One good mallet. At first I was afraid it might be a bit flimsy since it's made of plastic, but my fears were unfounded- this thing is heavy duty and you'll have no problem driving stakes into the ground with it. At the same time, it's still pretty light. Stake extractor helps quite a bit. Pros

Comments about Texsport Tent Mallet: I expected the mallet to be flimsy, too light, and maybe brake easly. Surprise! It was heaver then it looks and I feel confident that It will do the job. Happy "Prospector"

Comments about Texsport Tent Mallet: Light and powerful -- it is surprising the amount of punch one gains with every strike.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Texsport Tent Mallet: I was a first time camper last year and my brother-in-law had this mallet. It was soooo great to have as it made hammering in tent stakes a breeze and then pulling them out at the end of our fantastic trip just as much a breeze. I bought one as a gift for my husband because he loved it so much.

Comments about Texsport Tent Mallet: This is a nice lightweight mallet for driving tent stakes. It works well for the intended purpose and the hollow handle is great for pulling the stakes out. Although lightweight, I wouldn't recommend it for backpacking, but for car camping it's perfect. If it came in the red color shown online I would have given it five stars, but the one I received was an ugly off-white color.
