The loop makes it easy to pick up, and the small mouth makes it easy to pour without spilling. So far no leaks in my backpack, so I'd say so far so good!

I personally find that the bottle will only have a plastic taste after it has been sitting in a warm car or a warm pack. My suggestion would be to go with one of the clear, hard plastic nalgene bottles.Answered on 9/16/2010 by Shawn from New Jersey
