I always carry a tarp when I kayak so that I have a dry someplace to rest gear while setting up/breaking camp. This tarp is light and packs small - imporant when you have to cram everything for a week in the hull of a kayak.

This tarp was my extra room on a dozen weekends last season. Yes there were torrential downpours. It's showing no signs of wear, worked perfectly. If and when I wear it out, I'll buy another

Is this coated nylon tarp washable? If so will it retain its waterproof quality after washing?

- A:
  You can wash the tarp with mild soap and water hose off air dry in the shade. This will not effect the coating.
