Emergency Germicidal Drinking Water Tablets - This amount of iodine used for a couple of days of hiking
with these tablets would not be enought to cause any harm . For a week of backpacking you may consider a
filtration system , and, or , the Micropur tablets .( item 81896) . The micropur tablets are chorine based and have a longer shelf life and will not deteriorate with heat .Answered on 4/29/2011 by Chris from Campmor
