Cons Best Uses Comments about Texsport Backpacking Pole Shockcord Repair Kit: I didn't bother using the "threading wire", I just feed it thru the poles. No problem. The retaining washers were a nice touch. My poles didn't have them [ just knots ], but I used them. The cord seems too "stretchy", but I may not have pulled it tight enough prior to cutting it. First time I've done this repair. Not a big deal, pull it tighter and re-tie. Works OK so far.

I could not push the cord through taped to the wire as the directions indicated.
