Comments about Equinox LTD. 7 ft. x 8 ft. Polyethylene Ground Cloth: I've used it twice so far while car camping. Setup of the dome is standard and easy, the fly however isn't intuitive so you may want to take the directions with you. The zippers are really smooth which is nice, and the vestibule is great for gear. It might be a tad heavy for back packing, but if you divided it three ways it wouldn't be bad.

Comments about Equinox LTD. 7 ft. x 8 ft. Polyethylene Ground Cloth: Blue tarps shred easily when use under a larger tent. This product is heavier than a shower curtain and incredibly strong! It is absolutely waterproof and will protect your tent floor better than anything else I've seen yet. I don't find it too slippery: a little use will rough it up enough to not be slippery at all.

At most comercial campsites there will be a gravel bed (even if it's lightly covered with grass) to set up your tent on. This is the best product to protect your tent with: absolutely waterproof, heavier-duty than a shower curtain. I've used the woven blue tarps...they shred quickly. This is what you need for car camping.
