Comments about Eureka Timberline 2 Fly: I've had many tents over the years - but Timberlines are my favorite. I can set one up by myself - in the dark - in 5 minutes. No feeding ridiculously long poles through sleeves. No curved zippers to pop due to excessive pull. No fibreglas poles to split after a year or two. Displaying reviews 1-3 |

Q:
I have a Diamond Brand "Free Spirit 2" tent that needs a replacement rainfly. The manufacturer,Diamond Brand,in Fletcher,NC no longer makes this tent and they do not have any parts left.Would the Eureka Timberline 2 rainfly be a good fit for my "Free Sprit 2." The Timberline 2 is the exact shape of my FS2. Thanks1 answer
A:
The Timberline fly is specific to the Timberline tent. The fly would not fit other tents as intended.Q:
Our son lost the fly for our 2-man Eureka Alpine Meadows. Might this Timberline replacement fly work for us? I know the Timberline lacks the center hoop so this won't be an exact fit. Since Alpine Meadows is no longer made I guess this is the closest I am going to get. My last option is to make one myself.1 answer
A:
I doubt you will get a good enough fit to make it work. You might try calling Eureka at 800-572-8822 to see if you can get a fly from the older tent.Q:
Is the ridge seam taped, or do I need to seam seal the seams?1 answer
A:
It is taped.Q:
I need to know how to set up this tent with parts?I have received one from frieds with no catalog or directions!! Roger1 answer
A:
You should have 4 shock corded leg poles; 2 plastic junction tubes; 2 fly rods and 1 spanner pole. The 4 leg poles insert into the junction tubes at an acute less than perpendicular angle. assemble the spanner and insert the spanner front to back. When installing the poles you will secure the bottom of the tent corners with the tent pin and ring assembly. Clip the tent up to the poles. Trow the fly over the top of the tent. Install the fly rods front and back in the holes on the junction tubes. Secure the fly onto the junction tubes and hook the fly corners into the pin and ring assemblies at the corners of the tent. This is the basic setup. You can and ought to guy out the fly at the mid point guy outs. A taught fly is the best wind and water protection.
