Comments about Coleman Montana 8 - 16x7 - 8 Person Tent: I bought this tent because I was planning on mule camping on Catalina Island for a week, and my little 2-person Coleman seemed a bit cramped for that long a stay. It was a FABULOUS choice. I was advised by the ride organizers that I'd appreciate having a tent I could stand up in, and they were right. It sleeps 8, they say, but I liked it great for just me and all my equipment. I took some tarps for the floor and spread out in it, using other CampMore purchases happily. It sets up very easily with just 2 people, and with clever squashing it actually DOES fit back into the bag it comes in. I heartily endorse Coleman tents, they really impress me both in design and aesthetics.

Comments about Coleman Montana 8 - 16x7 - 8 Person Tent: Used this tent to camp at the beach (Assateague Island). Practice at home first so the set up at the beach went pretty quick. A second hand isn't a bad idea, but not necessary. It blew 20MPH every day and the tent was totally fine. Didn't get rained on at the beach, but when it was set up at home it rained hard two straigth days and not more than a drop or two got in the tent.

Comments about Coleman Montana 8 - 16x7 - 8 Person Tent: My husband & I needed a new tent did a lot of research before buying this tent. Even though I have had several Coleman tents before. I still wanted to make sure this was the one since we were spending a good price for as large as one as we needed. But after previous great purchases with Coleman we went back. We used this tent for a Camping trip in the middle of no wear in the woods. We had 1-night of really good rain and we were totally dry. Yippie!! a lot of room... it was long but narrow. We were very satisfied with this purchase. Really the only down fall is that we had to use the zipper on the door do to the lack of velcro for the door. Very easy set up!

Comments about Coleman Montana 8 - 16x7 - 8 Person Tent: Great for two small kids and a dog for car camping at a local state park. Lots of room for everyones things and plenty of space to move around. Did not rain so I don't know about waterproof. But would recommend for casual user and car camper.

Yes, 2 queen sized mattresses will fit into the tent. However, you will only be able to stand in the middle in a small area, there is no room for walking. Also, while the 2 mattresses will indeed fit, they will touch the sidewalls of the tent which will cause water to seep in (if the tent gets wet while the mattresses are inside.)Answered on 9/11/2011 by John Alarcon from Bend, OR
