Q:
I have an older timberline 4 and an older timberline 2. Are the poles compatable if I simply use one less pole in each of the four legs? Does the "ridgepole" in each of these models have three poles?

  The spanner for a 2 person and 4 person Timberline are the same. The leg poles for a 4 are taller than a 2.

  No, the leg size is different. the two person is 59" and the 4 person is 78"

My 35 year old Timberline weighs about 7 lbs....I notice the news ones say 5.3 lbs......were the aluminum poles replaced with fiberglass? Will the old tents take the fiberglass pole kits shown as replacements?

  The Tmberline has always had aluminum poles. The replacement poles we sell for All the Eureka Tomberline's are aluminum as well
