Bulk Shockcord (By the Foot)- 1/8 in.: I replace the old stiff, inelastic shock cord in my Sierra Design tent poles. It went very well and the poles seem totally rejuvenated. I set up the tent and the poles went together well. TIme will tell on the duability but it seems to be of better quality than the original cord that came with the tent poles.

This product appears to be of higher quality than the original shock cords, so, I am hoping they will last until the tent is ready to throw out. Also campmor is one of the few places you can buy shock cord by the foot rather then the spool.

Bulk Shockcord (By the Foot)- 1/8 in.: The shock cord inside my tent poles had gone bad due to age, and this was an easy, inexpensive alternative to replacing the entire tent. The tent itself is in good condition so I didn't want to spend the $$$ on a new one. All for less than $25 (incl shipping). First check your bad pole to see if the cord can be replaced. Then measure and order at least one foot extra per pole.

The Eureka Sunrise 11 tent is enjoyed many times a year and I knew that the cord inside the poles would someday break. Hotels and motels are not options when you enjoy camping as much as we do. This product was the perfect replacement. No complaints.

You would not want to get bulk shock cord as a means to repairing tent poles without first getting a tent pole shock cord repair kit.
