Comments about Texsport Metal Frame Cot: I intend to give it away if the person I give it to can assemble it. I called the mfg and they said you just have to stretch the fabric. But I can't.

Comments about Texsport Metal Frame Cot: I never got the fabric to stretch completely over the ends of the bar. Then after a few times of using it, the seam ripped right down the side bar.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Texsport Metal Frame Cot: The legs are very hard to put into the holes. I did not have enough strength to put this together.
Pros
Cons
Best Uses Comments about Texsport Metal Frame Cot: I wanted a lightweight cot to get off the ground while camping. This is not it. The fabric is impossible to stretch over the poles. There is an area in the center that is very uncomfortable with extra material. It sags even though I only weigh 150 lbs. Unfortunately I can't send it back because I hacksawed about a 1/2 inch off the poles to make the fabric fit.

Comments about Texsport Metal Frame Cot: it was a very cold night, rocky campsite. Went on a Boy Scout back packing trip, I'm the only adult who brought a cot, they all said it was there worst night sleep ever, I slept like a baby ! Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Texsport Metal Frame Cot: Was extremely difficult to get the base poles inserted. Not something I'd want to do in the dark or rain. Not sure how someone that wasn't into weight lifting would be able to twist the poles enough to get them inserted. [...]

TEXSPORT Texsport Metal Frame Cot - 7"Q:
Would you reccommend this cot for an extended trip? I.e. 3-10 days at a time? Im considering treking thru Glacier for a week and then maybe month long portions of the A.T. and I wondered if this would be a plus or minus for the trek....1 answer
A:
I would say that this cot would be way too heavy for an AT trip. However if you were horse packing this cot would work.| Best Use | Camping Car Camping |
