Easy to set up taking us about 2 minutes after a couple times. Stows away quickly each time into provided stuff sack. Zippers are heavy duty quality and bug mesh seems effective although we have used this recently in Fall with bugs stopped by cold nites already. When zipped this tent keeps the sleeping area about 10 degrees warmer and does not feel cramped. We had no rainfall on our recent trip of 2 weeks so anxious to see how this performs in Washington State Rain. Would definitely recommend this to others who sleep in the bed of a truck under canopy.

It is true, as other reviews have mentioned, there are insect gaps around the tent where it meets the tailgate. However, this is easily remedied by stuffing the tent's bag in the hole on one side and a t-shirt or something else in the other. Still, the manufacturers could address this issue. The more pressing issue from my point of view is the length of the rise from the tailgate to the top of the tent -- it needs to be longer so that the entryway to get into the camper shell is larger. This would provide better ventilation and just easier access.

Comments about Dac Inc.-Vehicle Tents DAC Full - Size Truck Tent: I purchased this because I got tired of sleeping on the ground. It took about 10 minutes to set up. I purchased this as a slightly soiled return so there were no directions.(I could not find any blemishes or stains) Trust me you don't need directions. The only thing I would suggest is something to hold up the rear window if your gas shocks are old. I had a small board I propped in the corner and it worked perfectly. I know another viewer mentioned you could not secure the tailgate from bugs. There is a bungee cord supplied that runs under the tailgate which pulls the tent snug to the sides. I threw down a picnic table cover over the tail gate and let it run into the truck bed and it was completely sealed. I live in Florida and did not get one bug in there the whole night.

Instead of having to lower the tailgate and raise the door to get out, you have a regular tent door. The extra space created by the tent is very nice, too. There was plenty of room for two people and two BIG dogs with the tent set up.

The camper top flip up window will determine the height at the tailgate. Roughly the height from the bottom edge of the window once opened will be the height off the tent at the tailgate.
