Comments about Equinox 8 ft. x 10 ft. Ultralight Backpacking Tarp:

I use this as my wrap and shelter for my primitive tarp pack as a wilderness guide in UT. It's light, which also means it sometimes doesn't hold sturdy in wind, but I'd rather cut the weight.

We needed a lightweight tarp as cover in case we had to bivy out on a winter AT hike. We did made the shelter, and the tarp came in handy as an additional wind break. We're satisfied with the quality, and are looking forward to checking out the waterproofing this summer in the Olympics.

Bought this for a 3 week backpacking trip, 160 miles in NC in April. Sturdy perimeter grommets at 2' on center along with 3 tie straps in the body at the ridge line make this versatile and easy to set up. One night used it as a wind break in 50mph winds and was pleasantly surprised to see that it could take it. Buy it -- it's worth the money. "Never leave home without it!"

This product has 3 Nylon ties sewn in on center seam for more pitching options. Are these intended to go on the outside or inside of the shelter when pitched? Does it matter which side is used toward the weather?
