They are comfortable, look great under slacks, fit in my Uggs, my dansko clogs, my hiking shoes, etc.. They have ribbing around the arch of the foot which makes them feel supportive and snug and they fit perfectly.. I'm a 6 1/2-7 women's shoe size and I got whatever size corresponded to that.. They also wash and dry well--no stiffness, no shrinkage..

Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Smartwool City Slicker Merino Wool Socks: These socks are really worth the extra cost. for years i was buying el cheapos at [@] in the 3-for-$8 packs. those socks are not good. not one little bit. i decided to try the Smartwool in black and gray and was extremely pleased. they are above the calf. they hold up after washing. they do pick up a bit of lint so if you're weird about that then wash them w darks only.
