I have used the Smartwool Hikers for years for everything from snoeshowing to office wear. After wearing the Expedition Trekkers around the house and on cold weather hikes, I had to share my find with my friends and family. They are great to wear around the house on winter days, almost like a slipper. For hiking and snowshoeing, they took away the need to double up on socks on super-cold days. I never thought giving socks for Christmas would be such a cool idea.

I was skeptical about liking a pair of wool socks- but boy they were nice! There is a nice layer of cushion throughout and the elastic held the sock up on my calf well. Great sock overall

They wear extremely well, are comfortable with good cushioning, warm and do a good job to wick away moisture. These new ones I just bought don't seem to be as thick as the old ones that I am replacing, but they still feel comfortable.
