These silk-blend hiking socks exceeded my best hopes because they are so comfortable and so versatile. In addition to doing a lot of walking with good quality trail-runner or low-cut hiking shoes, I decided to wear them with work shoes to the office . . . great. The one downside might prove to be wear--I noticed that Wigwam heavy hiking socks and some others are guaranteed for two years wear, but the silk-blend for only one year.

I buy these every year and wear them most every day I wear socks. The socks are th best for outdoor warmth n indoor cozy. I haves tried many different types and this is my favorite!

I wear these every day at work and play. Driving a truck, unloading hay, at the race track they work great.

I started with one pair that were worn through the winter for snowshoeing, hiking and general outdoor boot wear. They proved to be very comfortable, warm with no hot spot or blister problems. Just ordered two more pair, they are my socks of choice for boot wear hiking, geocaching etc. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is have not had them a year yet. It looks like they will last so expect to rate them a 5 after a year's steady use. I like them better than any other brand I have used.

I discovered these socks several years ago and found they are extremely durable, great feeling and just the all-around best socks for my demanding conditions (like, anything I might want to do living here in Oregon off-the-grid). Also, they are wonderful to sleep in when it's really cold.
I've made a living making custom moccasins and shoes for more than forty years, so I know what I'm talking about when it comes to socks. I wear these almost all the time, except during the summer when it's actually hot out. They breathe very well so I never feel sweaty in them. NONE of my six pairs has worn out yet, though the very first couple of pairs are starting to get a little thinner in the heels after ten years. I just bought four more pairs so they'll all last even longer now... ;o) I love these socks so much I want to marry them! But I'm already married, so.... we'll just have to have a secret affair. Shhh.....!
