I never thought I could be excited about a pair of socks but these things are awesome. I bought them for camping but find myself wearing them all the time. I will be buying several more pair. They fit snug without being tight and stay in place.

I bought a pair in preparation for my first backpacking trip into cold weather. I also purchased a similar store brand from a local sporting good store that boasted the same qualities as the RUGGed socks. I slept the firs night in the store brand socks, in temps down to 24F, and my feet felt a little chilly. The second night the temps got down to 22F, and i slept in my Wigwam's. My feet felt GREAT, warm and toasty. The next day I wore them for the last 8 miles of our trek. My feet were dry and comfortable the whole day. Even the last half of our day when we had to cross the frigid waters of the Gila river some 25 times! the socks kept my feet felling great all day. I highly recommend a pair, or two!

These are mainstream hiking socks that are exceptionally comfortable and well fitting. They have a two year wear guaranty suggesting that Wigwam has confidence in them. I've done a number of few-mile walks in them (not punishing, in other words) but they perform well enough so that I've even worn them to the office for sheer pleasure.

Just had to replace a pair that were six or seven years old.
Not only a fantastically warm winter sock, but I wear them under my boots on backpacking trips in the summer, too. Ya, my feet get hot and a little sweaty, but once in camp I pull 'em off, rinse 'em out and let 'em dry overnight and they're good to go again AND I've never had a blister when wearing them.
My wife loves them so much that I have instructions to ensure that any time there is gift giving involved, she gets another pair. She's up to eight or so pairs now, wears them ALL the time and absolutely loves them.
