The fit seemed to be off from the first, and was difficult to layer over sweatshirts or fleeces (like his Denali). Also, the fabric was not as nice as Marmot's Precipt and overall, the coat was not as well made as Marmot's Precipt. The whole coat seemed rubbery and skimpy on the finishes. This particular coat was outgrown within a year (although other North Face clothing items in the same size continue to be worn), and then I did what I should have done in the first place -- bought the more expensive Marmot to be sure of the product.
