Like their namesakes, Outdoor Research Crocodiles® Gaiters have been around forever. The instep strap is replaceable, and an additional tab holds the front opening down, but otherwise they remain unchanged. The fitted design and durable, waterproof fabrics are as effective now as ever.
- 3-layer 70D Taslan Gore-Tex® leg section.
- 1000D Cordura® boot section, lined with coated 8 oz. packcloth.
- 3/4-inch wide webbing and cam buckle top closure.
- 2-inch wide hook/loop front closure.
- Hook/loop shear tab prevents separation of front closure.
- Double-needle stitching on hook/loop front closure.
- Field-replaceable, urethane-coated nylon instep strap.
- Double-riveted boot lace hook.

Something I could carry in my car and use if these conditions arise suddenly; and, since I've been unable to find winter boots that fit my legs correctly, these gaiters seemed to be ideal for what I needed them for.

Best Uses Comments about Outdoor Research Crocodiles Gore-Tex Gaiters - Women's: My past pair of Crocs was better designed. The new ones were ruined in one hike in the ADKs because the inner stitching for the under foot stirrup ripped on both ankles in less than two hours while snowshoeing. The snowshoe would catch the opposong ankle. My last pair are still in use by my niece. I've had them 10 yrs. I opted to get a new pair, but the design had changed and not for the better. My old pair was smooth instead of a stitched "patch" inside the ankle area. I exchnaged them for a new pair and I glued my own 4 inch leather patch over the stitched area this time and now they work well. It created a smooth area to be scuffed by the opposite foot/snowshoe/boot, what ever your wearing. Otherwise, still a great gaiter.
