Comments about Teva Tanza Mens Performance Sandal: I live in a hot, dry climate. My home is surrounded by sand, gravel and dirt. It's easy to forget that on this terrain, regardless of what type sandal one wears, all three invariably end up wedged between feet and insoles. Closed toe sandals are fine for urban trekkers surrounded by concrete, asphalt and grass, but if worn out in nature, there's no handy way for detritus to be purged. They simply have to be removed and dumped. TEVA TANZA Performance Sandals are extremely comfortable, collect less of my surroundings than other open designs I've worn and purge easily as needed between foot plants when toes are pointing down. I plan to have a second pair of them on my shelf for the day these finally give it up.

They suffered from the same problem----The Velcro fastening were too short. I wear size 14 but my feet are narrow---I wear sandals year around, sometimes with socks. Often late in the day the velcro does not meet up. Feet are bigger then. This is my last pair---I think quality control is napping. ch
