Comments about Keen Newport H2 - Women's: These are by far the best sandals I have ever owned. The reason I gave them four stars instead of five was that the first pair I ordered, which I ordered a half size larger than I usually wear because of my previous experience with the Keen Whisper, which I also own, was too small and I had to exchange them. The replacement pair, a full size larger, fits perfectly. In fact I generally forget I have them on. They're exceptionally stable on uneven footing, great for the trail. On floors you have to watch out not to catch the rubber sole and trip, but otherwise I have only praise for them. Pros

Comments about Keen Newport H2 - Women's: These are not the shoes if you live in a very hot climate and plan to wear as everyday summer sandals. Used as a river shoe, they are best for rocky river bottoms. Sand and/or mud doesn't drain out easily. Great for casual wear or day hiking in cooler weather, but if it hits 80+ F, expect overheated feet. The large toe guard protects very well, but restricts air circulation. I use for officiating on deck at swim meets, and receive many compliments and inquiries as to where I found them (mine are very brightly colored). They grip well on the wet deck, and are so much more stable than a flip-flop style. I also wear for hiking rocky trails, but again NOT in Texas summer heat. Walked everywhere and did not get one blister. needed to wear sox one day as we were in Copenhagen and it was a little chilly, but otherwise perfect. Toured pompeii, Rome, Venice. Highly recommend!
