Comments about Danner Men's Mountain Light II Mid Weight Hiking Boot: I hike fire roads and trails daily. I got these to replace another brand that wore out too quickly. The size ran true and the fit was fine. They were broken in on one short hike. Yeah, they were a lot of money, but I believe they were still a good value.

Comments about Danner Men's Mountain Light II Mid Weight Hiking Boot: Quality shoes! A very unique design that can take some time to get use to. I had a fold on the side of the tongue on my right shoe that created a very uncomfortable knot, but after a few days of rolling it out to where it had to be, the shoe felt great. They also took some time to break in around the top, but I won't complain about ankle support, no one likes rolled ankles. The vibram sole makes me feel very sure footed on slippery wet/snowy/muddy hills, and can be replaced when worn out because it's sewn on (no one likes glue either). The eyelets that go all the way down the toe pull the shoe snug to my foot for a very nice fit (blisters are bad! burgerfoot sucks!). & the combination of the tongue design & the gore-tex lining keep my feet dry, except from the sweat (change socks often). Aside from their practicality, these shoes also look pretty good when they're all cleaned up.

Comments about Danner Men's Mountain Light II Mid Weight Hiking Boot: Boots were very comforable out of the box. Size fit as expected. I was concerned about the insert, but it is comfortable and has worked very well. I wear the boots daily for work and afterwork and I really like the comfort of the boots.

Comments about Danner Men's Mountain Light II Mid Weight Hiking Boot: The plastic wedge arch spport is nice, but you'll need an insole to keep the edge from causing a callous. There's not much vertical space for an insole, so find a thin set!

Comments about Danner Men's Mountain Light II Mid Weight Hiking Boot: I had to exchange these due to the severity of the ankle bite issue. They're sending me Danner Light II's in the same size/width. I'll review those when I get them. The Mountain Light II's are awesome boots that fit perfectly in every other way. I really wanted them to work out, but can't commit to such a difficult break-in. Buy these only after trying them on first! The Light II sits higher on the ankle, so fingers crossed...

Comments about Danner Men's Mountain Light II Mid Weight Hiking Boot: Great shoes, I can wear them out to the bar or to work or just around town. They are waterproof so I don't have to worry about that. My feet do not sweat in them as well, so I'm good there. These are great boots and since they are Danner's I can get them rebuilt when they wear out. I'm super happy with this purchase.

Comments about Danner Men's Mountain Light II Mid Weight Hiking Boot: My first pair lasted me about five years and was the best boot I ever bought. The replacement pair wasn't so good. The leather pealed apart and the sole seperated within weeks of wearing them. I was told my a manufacture's rep that Danner is having problems with this boot. Hopefully they can fix the issue. I still hope to buy another pair
