I wear these boots during the week working at a grocery store, and on the week-end I hike and hunt. I wear thick wool socks to cushion and help keep my feet warm. I wore these boots around the house for one day and they were quickly broken in and comfortable. I also applied a good boot wateerproofing product. They are staying quite water-proof. My one suggestion would be a round boot lace, instead of the flat ones provided.

Bought these for my husband and he doesn't usually wear a wide boot. He's been able to wear his heavier socks with them and they work great. He has another pair of Hi-Tec boots that he's had for years and loves them.

This is the 5th pair of Hi-Tec's that I have purchased and I have never been disappointed. The boots are comfortable and last forever. I still have the first pair I bought 7 years ago and they are still useable.

Bought these for my scoutmaster husband to replace a pair lost at camp. These were a better model than the hi tec he had before and they are awesome..I loved being able to get them as a gift, and know they were going to fit. He hikes/walks/rides/ many miles with the Boy Scouts...these go the distance!

This is my 3rd pair. The previous 2 pairs I wore till the treads were worn flat. I wear them daily as work boots and they provide good support and have proven to be very durable.

These are my 2nd pair of Altitudes and I wear them every day. The first pair went over a year and a half of every day use. Tongue is only gusseted halfway, so they're only waterproof to the ankle.

Not my first paid of HITECs. First pair lasted me about 8 years of heavy use. This boot was made in China but still seems to be the same high quality product as my first pair.
