I have a kayak where thigh support is crucial. The thigh cushion fit very well. It was self-inflatable and I had no problem with it staying in one place without the velco pads. I would recommend this item.

I have knee and back trouble, so trying to get my thighs supported enough to reach the braces in my roomy cockpit tended to be awkward. Long trips would usually be quite painful. This pad supported my thighs wonderfully, and I was able to comfortably "lock" myself into my boat. I was able to greatly enhance my sense of control and balance when the seas began building on a recent trip and, best of all, I was pain-free at the end of the day.

Gives me substantially more time on the water before tingling, numbness or pain in the legs set in. Also improves contact with the boats thigh hooks. Does not interfere with rolling. For best results don't overinflate. Included velcro pads do not adhere well to cushion or boat. Replacement with heavy duty velcro was futile. Stays in place well once you get situated. Being able to adjust its position or slide it out of the way is actually an advantage, particularly when exiting after you land. Secure it to the seat or other convenient attachment point with a short length of light line (cushion has a grommet on its edge) to avoid possible loss in a wet exit.Do make sure the line can't get tangled with your feet. The thigh pad has multiple uses out of the boat. Works well for me as a knee pad, temporary seat and camp pillow as well. Has not leaked air or shown signs of fabric wear with two years regular use.

This item just does not stay where you put it. Maybe fit for just smaller boats, it actually gets in the way.
