Comments about Asolo Women's TPS 520 GTX Waterproof Backpacking Boot: While expensive, these boots are worth the investment. My last all-leather hikers lasted 20 years, and are still going strong except for the tread. I cannot speak highly enough about the comfort of this boot. Forget high tech fabrics, leather will never disappoint.

Aloha, I've worn these only twice, on a twenty mile round trip backpacking trip each time, then one fourth of the way into my third trip several days ago, the vibram sole delaminated. I duct taped in on for the remainder of the trip. Upon my return home, I noticed that the other boot heel is starting to delaminate also. I've never worn them outside of the two trips, and cleaned and protected them with Asolo products. They were stored in a cool, clean, dry place, so what is the cause?
