      Dear Asolo,

Please don't redesign these boots and keep the model the way it always has been, as I may need my 3d pair in 10 years soon.

Comments about Asolo Men's TPS 520 GTX Waterproof Backpacking Boot - Wide:

GREAT BOOTS!! I've been a loyal Lowa fan for over a decade due to their high quality but they tend to squish my little toes and they're only marginally comfortable overall, hence the decison to try something else. These Asolo's are FANTASTIC! Though I've only registered about 100 miles on them so far, they appear to be of top notch quality and they fit like a glove right out of the box! Plenty of ankle support, extremely durable soles, and ample room for aftermarket inserts and cushions. For reference, I'm a big guy (275#) with a slightly wide toe box and a normal arch.

Comments about Asolo Men's TPS 520 GTX Waterproof Backpacking Boot - Wide:

I purchased these boots after returning two pairs from a well know Italian boot company that moved their manufacturing to China (the soles came lose on the first pair and a shoe lace eye popped off on the second pair). These are the first Asolo boots I have owned and could not be more impressed. I went on three pack trips in Idaho last summer and numerous day hikes. They are very comfortable and durable.

I spent 4 months working trail in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. These boots kept my feet dry all but two days the whole season. Some days were spent in a foot and a half of mud, at the boots took it. They also took several blows with pick mattocks and pulaskis.

Still Breaking in, but very sturdy and comfortable boots... give confidence. Break in easy. Width runs small - I am regular width in all other boots. 1st pair purchased regular width... too tight, moved to wide width, feels great. These are not cheap boots, but so far, quality equals the price... should last for years.
