Short break in period while the upper softened a bit, but nothing difficult. A rare blend of total comfort and total stability and durability.

Comments about Asolo Women's TPS 535 Mid Weight Hiking Boot: I am not a hiker, but, my whole life is still outside. I found the sole stiff, but it's overall build has a "rocker" sole. I will fault this boot in one aspect.....the toe box is narrow FOR MY TOES. But, I have a wide toe base, and a narrow heel, and a high arch. Difficult to truly fit, yeah. These boots have a "no break-in" period. Put them on and go. So, the narrower toe box is still doable for me, and I will highly recommend them.

They are very comfortable, truly water proof (assuming you dont go over the tops of the shoes), and have help up beautifully over the last 10 years. I was thinking that I would probably never need to buy another pair of hard-core hiking books. Have recommended these to others and they also love these shoes.

Comments about Asolo Women's TPS 535 Mid Weight Hiking Boot: If you are not a mountaineer these boots will make you feel like one. The are substantial yet surprisingly light. They are comfortable in all the places they need to be. They are also quite attractive. I feel fabulous and powerful in these boots - like I can climb a mountain...which I am in training to do!
