The rope and coil of the Leash seems very durable but the clips are plastic and do not seem incredibly durable. However it did survive my first outing without fail. I know some pretty handy people so if it were to break we could fix it. I'm confident I will not have to purchase another leash unless I lose this one in transport from trip to trip.

with the exception of the hook falling apart on the first outing, this product is what is says - nothing special, just a useful piece of equipment - i had to rig another hook onto the tether and have no problems since.

I have used this paddle leash for about a month now and it works perfect. The leash is easy to attach and remove from paddle, the other end simpley hooks on your deck strapping or anywhere else on boat that the small clip will fit on. I have dismounted the boat with paddle in hand when the boat kept going and the leash did it's job by keeping me connected to boat so I could bring it back(they should call this the Boat&Paddle leash!)
