So stiff I could not even tighten the laces. Also, no ankle loop to help pull on boots-I would miss that too much.

Good quality for the money. Comfortable and stable during cold weather hiking on uneven terrain. Feet stayed warm and dry in deep snow.
Shoelaces could be slightly thinner to ensure that knots stay tight and don't loosen. Boots were stiff - definitely allow enough time to break-in before attempting any moderate/long-distance hiking.
This is my second pair of Vasque boots and I hope they last as long as the first (8yrs.).

What does the sizing run on this shoe? I've seen on other Vasque reviews that people buy 1/2 size to a full size bigger in the hiking boot than they wear in normal/dress shoes. I'm a women's 10 and I'm wondering if the size 11 would fit or if I need a 10 or 10.5.

Thanks for any help anyone who has bought or tried on this boot can offer.

  I wear Vasque running shoes in a 7 and ordered these boots in a 7.5 and they are perfect with thicker socks.
