Not a detailed guide for plant idenification. A reprint from the Army FM, A few pictures dated or b&w. Lacks detail I was looking for but still a exellent basic guide. I may be critical,I am retired military and former instructor. Would recommend as basic, if you have been to SERE or mountain warfare ect you have seen this already Pros

Comments about W W Norton The Complete Guide to Edible Wild Plants: Although this book is a reprint of a 'Department of the Army' manual, it's printed in China. Most of the pictures are printed a little dark and murky and many are not usable for identification (even as a second 'opinion', i.e using two or more field guides to confirm a plant's identification). I found the same exact pictures on-line that were much brighter and usable for identification. Displaying reviews 1-2 |
