The Keen Women's Susanville Low Hiking Shoe has a better gripping sole than most keen's. This said if you are walking on a lot of slipper moss and lichen covered rocks and roots then make sure you have a walking staff or trekking pole to provide stability.Answered on 1/11/2013 by Steve from Campmor
