Comments about Wigwam CoolMax Liner Socks: makes my feet feel good!
Pros

Comments about Wigwam CoolMax Liner Socks: Product used to add warmth for cold weather hiking.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Wigwam CoolMax Liner Socks: I had very favorable experiences with the "gobi" polypropylene liners from the same company, so I tried these to see if they would be cooler in the summer. They were a disaster for me. I wore them under wool socks, the same way I used the polypro ones, and three hours in I had two blisters. Compre this to the polypropylene, which I've used for two full days under much more demanding circumstances and felt great. I would definitely recommend the "gobi" material but I would NOT recommend the "coolmax" material.

Comments about Wigwam CoolMax Liner Socks: These are always worn next to my feet no matter what other socks I'm wearing: dress, work, travel, camping/hunting, when wearing fire fighting bunker gear, etc.

Comments about Wigwam CoolMax Liner Socks: I have used these liners for many years and they do last a long time. Materials seem great. Also, they are not too slippery. I have actually tried other types, as [@] no longer stocks these. None of the other types work for me. They are too slippery, silky, and my feet slide around in the socks. Please keep making these!

Comments about Wigwam CoolMax Liner Socks: Thought I'd give these a try after reading an article on hiking. I was quickly convinced that liners are a plus. My feet felt cool even with the added layer. No hint of blisters. I'll continue to use when hiking.

A:
Coolmax is a wicking fiber made from polyester. Wigwam claims that the technology behind Coolmax will help dissipate excess heat. If you wear this sock by itself, your feet will stay very cool. If you wear this with an outer sock for hiking, your feet will be warm, and any sweat that occurs will be wicked away from the skin to the outer sock.
