Comments about Wigwam Gobi Polypropylene Liner Socks: These are the best for cold weather. Use these with one layer sock and your feet will be in Maui! Moisture is wicked away so good that the cold doesn't get to your feet nearly as bad. One downfall, if any, is that if temps get to mid thirties your feet may not enjoy the extra layer these give.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Polypropylene Liner Socks: Prior to using these liners socks, I had blisters after some mountain hiking over two days. While using the liners, I had no blisters for the similar distance and time for mountain hiking.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Wigwam Gobi Polypropylene Liner Socks: Just came back from spending 12 days at Philmont Scout Ranch, New Mexico. After hiking almost 80+ miles over 11 days... my two sons and I did not get a single blister wearing these liners with our regular socks. But then again... it always pays to wear properly broken in shoes. Very good value!
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Wigwam Gobi Polypropylene Liner Socks: Got my first pair of these in 1980 and used them as liner socks for several Himalayan treks. The ones I just bought are the same quality -- unlike so many garments that have decreased in quality over the years in order to raise the profit margin.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Polypropylene Liner Socks: Bought 6 pairs based on the reviews for a coming 500+ mile trek in europe. Have been trying them locally in our training sessions 7-10 mile urban hikes. First of the toe seam is horrible. Wearing them inside out helped but still tough on the toes. Whats the point of 20$ hiking socks that feel seamless when you are putting these under them? They run big and lose a lot of their stretch quickly. They get thinner by the minute. They are hand washed them with mild soap so its not rough treatment by a machine. They are worn under Thorlon heavy padded trekking sox and somehow one set has developed a hole on the ankle. They look and feel like they are coming apart. I don't understand all the positive reviews. I will be returning all 6 pairs as I need dependable liners that will not disolve with use.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Polypropylene Liner Socks: I have been wearing WigWam Gobi liner socks under a wool sock for years. Their performance is excellent, wicking moisture away from your foot allowing your foot to stay dry and warm. Couple this with a good quality, boot and you can have warm, dry feet all day.

Comments about Wigwam Gobi Polypropylene Liner Socks: I ordered these for a trip where it would feel good to have an extra layer under wool socks. They were not soft, they were baggy and not particulary warm. I returned them!
