I keep it in my truck from those South Florida frog-stranglers (down-pours). I wouldn't call it a "stylish" hat, but it works very well. I like the adjustable velcro sizing, so that as it stretches I can tighten it down. It folds nice and compact. I keep it in the back seat map pocket of the truck. It's a great alturnative to the hoods that my rain jackets have.

I have worn mine to the beaches in Puerto Rico, hiking in the rain forest, hiking in Montana, and camping in the Grand Canyon. It is confortable and durable and has become one of my favorite clothing items that I always take with me. A wonderful product.

One set for everyday wear and another set stored in the trunk of the car for travel. It is my hat of choice for a rainy day dog walk, a fly fishing outing (it floats!), or for wear on a sunny but cool day. It is size-adjustable allowing you to boost its cold-weather performance by wearing it over a fleece liner cap. The wide brim and tight weave of the material provides excellent sun protection. As others have noted, it is not the right hat for a warm sunning day. Its only other limitation is its performance in moderate to high wind. Although the hat can be cinched tight to your head with an under-chin cord, the brim will fly up in moderate or higher winds.

I can adjust it to fit over a balaclava which means I can also use it in the winter. It keeps the sun at bay and my head and neck dry in the worst thunder stroms the midwest threw at us this year. Also the velcro on the sides is a nice touch to hold the sides up for better ventilation.

Not as good as it look. Removed inside liner and wear it on top of a regular hat, just to keep the water of my head when it rains.
