Comments about Outdoor Products Skyline 8.0 Pack:

This backpack is great for a day hike or overnight trip. Could be used for a multiway hike if your a very light packer. There are plenty of straps to secure your load and make it rest peacefully on your back with no movement. Surprisingly the pockets on the waist belt are fairly large and very useful. There is also a zipper pocket along the face of the pack great for stuffing your rain jacket into. Some bungees on the pack lid are a nice touch for last minute add ons or to throw your tent footprint or a good book somewhere quickly accessible.

Overall a fantastic day bag. Great price and does its job well

Comments about Outdoor Products Skyline 8.0 Pack:

I bought the pack to use dayhiking. It's big enough to hold spare clothing, snacks, my hydration pack, and much more. The frame is surprisingly sturdy and comfortable for a daypack. I like it so much that I've been wondering if they make a larger size to take on longer backpacking trips.

I've only found two minor downsides. The hydration port is on the left, while I normally keep my tube on the right. And the top opening is just a little small, with a zipper that is just a little balky. Neither are deal breakers for me.

Very comfortable great price for the pack. We hike every weekend with our young daughters. Of course Dad is the pack mule. This pack does it all. I can fit four rain coats, lunch and snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, several bottles of water with room to spare. Very good pack for the price. Extremely comfortable with good adjustability to handle diiferent size loads. Top loading zipper is diificult when you do not release the upper side straps. Minor inconveience still love the pack.

Comments about Outdoor Products Skyline 8.0 Pack:

First of all, it is 38 oz not 28. It is not the first time I have seen Campmor do this kind of thing.
Still this backpack is a keeper. The suspension is built for heavy weight and hipbelt is pretty impressive. 20 pounds feels featherlight and I am guessing 30-35 might alright. The design is very functional and the materials used are heavy. The only downside is stitching quality. While the pack is built out of heavy materials I feel like the stitching might be the problem in the long term (particularly if you want to hang skies or snow shoes on it). It does have a life time warranty.

But in short, this is ideal backpack for long day hikes (where you have to carry a lot of water or maybe some heavy gear). For the price, it is a steal. If you are looking for something bigger, salomon sky 38 is also awesome (unfortunately, it only comes in one size, which fits people with short torso).

have used this pack on overnighters and weeklong section hikes on the AT, love the featurs of it. not much space for extended hikes but it did help me go ultra light. dowside is i've had to do a fair amount of sewing on the pack, might be overloading it at 30 lbs. though.

I use this pack a lot snow shoeing in Northern Oregon, very comfortable, gear seems to stay dry. I could live without the hip pockets, but since they are there I have found a use for them. All in all a great buy.

The lash loops on the front of the pack would allow you to strap the 3 Lite unbottle to pack. Also the hydration sleeve inside the pack is large enough to accommodate the 3 L unbottle.
