Comments about Outdoor Products Skyline 8.0 Pack:

I use this pack to commute on my bike and it has been very durable. I have used it pretty much every day for the last year and half and it has held up well. It's interior space is fairly large - nothing fancy. This isn't the pack for you if you like lots of compartments. But is has good big open spaces. I use a few small little sacks to separate my gear.

        Great pack for day hikes.

I use it to carry books during the week, and hikes with the Boy Scout Troop on weekends.

My only complaint, and it's minor, is that the top opening is a little small for some of my notebooks.

Otherwise, I am very happy with the pack.

Comments about Outdoor Products Skyline 8.0 Pack:

I like everything except the only way to get in and out of this pack is an almost worthless side access zipper, and a very limited top zipper. The pack is very comfortable, the waste strap is great, and it has enough room for my stuff, but I just can't get it out. I still use this pack often for smaller stuff, I just wish the zippers would zip further down so I could get to items without unloading them one by one, when the pack was fully loaded.

Plenty of options to adjust the fit, whether in summer gear or full winter layers. I love it!

Comments about Outdoor Products Skyline 8.0 Pack:

The best thing about this bag is the pockets on the waist belt. They are large enough for storing commonly used gear. I like the size of the bag and the fact that is has two compression straps for eash side to stabilize your load. It has enough pockets for strage and organization. It does weigh a bit more than it really needs to, but hopefully that means the materials will hold up. My only problem is the shoulder straps. They are only adequate and could be improved with better padding. The price is certainly right for a pack with the features and size of this one.

Comments about Outdoor Products Skyline 8.0 Pack:

I liked the first one I bought so much I got a second, that way I can load according to various tasks/errands. I find the waist belt pockets to be set back a little too far to make it comfortable or easy to use them without taking the pack off, and one or two small pockets on the shoulder straps would make it perfect. It is great for street hiking and day hikes on the trail. I may get a third to load as an emergency or Bug Out Bag.

Bought these for our boy scout troop and the quality for the price is unbeatable. These are highly functional, comfortable and should stand up to the tough use we'll put them through. Didn't think we could get packs of this quality for an affordable price but Campmor came through. Thanks!

The hydration sleeve can double as a laptop sleeve. Since it is a hydration sleeve it is not padded like a formal laptop sleeve would be.

Unfortunately I am not able to answer this because different airplane's have different seat clearances. The dimension of this pack when full is:
                21 in. x 12 in. x 9 in.

If you can the airline you will be traveling with, you can ask them if this will be allowed under the seat.
