Comments about Outdoor Products Mantis Dragonfly External Frame Pack: Bought it for my son for a overnight backpacking trip but ended up using it myself. The easy adjust system did not have any instructions and was confusing. The mesh back was nice and kept my back from sweating. The price was right for someone just starting out.

Comments about Outdoor Products Mantis Dragonfly External Frame Pack: Delivered fast. Used on a boy scout weekend camping trip - perfect for weekend, may not hold enough for longer trips. Wonderful pockets and places to put sleeping bag and mat. A great investment and useful.

Comments about Outdoor Products Mantis Dragonfly External Frame Pack: My eleven year old Boy Scout just used this on a winter camp out in Northern MN. The temp sank to -15F and the pack performed well. As a Scoutmaster, I am recommending this as a start pack to all new Boy Scouts in our Troop.

Comments about Outdoor Products Mantis Dragonfly External Frame Pack: I bought this pack for my 11 year old son to use for Scouts. We have done several backpacking trips and the pack works well. I wish it had better pockets for water bottles, but my son hasn't complained about it. Its a great starter pack for the money.

Comments about Outdoor Products Mantis Dragonfly External Frame Pack: This was my first pack. It has gone on many scouts weekend camping trips as well as our 50-miler in the sierras (twice). I'm older now and need a bigger pack, but I will miss this one!

is this pack water proof?1 answer
A:
No, the material is water resistant but not water proof. Item 11707 would be a suitable rain cover for this pack.Q:
can you strap sleeping bag to this frame?1 answer
A:
Yes, a sleeping bag can be attached to the Outdoor Products Dragonfly pack. It can be strapped to the bottom with nylon straps.Q:
Can you mount a generic hydration system system inside? Thanks.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
You can insert a hydration reservoir into the pack. It could use up to a 100 oz reservoir. This pack just is hydration ready so there is no outlet port for the tube or specific sleeve for the reservoir. You would have to gerry rig the tube through the zippered opening of the pack and you might get some condensation around the reservoir which may affect other items in your pack.Q:
What are the hip measurements that the hip belt fits?1 answer
