Comments about Optimus Terra .6 L Solo Cookset:

The lid is a good size cup, and it IS big enough to poach an egg, but not to fry it effectively. The handle snaps firmly in place. Pot is big enough for individual food preparation; either boiling water or simmering a soup/stew.

Nice lightweight cooking set that doubles as an cup / bowl for hot drinks and soups. Single serving function--not for couples! Unfortunately, the handle was misaligned at the attachment point to the cup on the one I received--faulty production; I replaced it.

Comments about Optimus Terra .6 L Solo Cookset:

I have used this set several times now and can finally give an honest review.
I love how compact and light this set is. Packed, it is a little more than half the size of a 32 oz Nalgeen. As if that's not small enough, inside of the set I can pack my Snow Peak 450 ti mug, Msr coffee filter (although I did have to trim it a little), AND Msr pocket rocket!
One of my favorite features is that the volume measurements are labeled inside the pot so there's no guessing how much water you've put in.
I can't see a solo hiker ever needing a set bigger than this one. I've used this one set with as many as 3 people which is fine as long as your friends don't mind waiting turns.
My only dislike is that the lid is really too small to use as a fry pan. I have yet to use it other than as just a lid

Used the cook set this past weekend camping at Open Pond in the Conecuh Natl. Forest near Andalusia. Works great with backpacking stoves.

I ordered another set for my grandson, a Star Scout!

I use this on weekend solo backpacking trips. I like that the handle is built in and stable. It sits perfectly on my stove. It packs small and light and is easy to clean. I don't have a stove that fits inside, which would be nice, but it still works for me.

Comments about Optimus Terra .6 L Solo Cookset:

I've used a cheap backpacking stove with this set and the pot's windscreen/heat coil setup at it's base is outstanding. It will boil a pot of water in a 2-3 minutes even with wind. I can fit a large gas cylinder, stove, and lighter within the pot for storage. You simply cannot ask for more from a cookset for this price. I have a hard time believing Jetboil and MSR's Reactor can be that much better than this setup.
