Cons Best Uses Comments about The North Face Waterproof Breathable Venture Pants - Men's - Short 30" Inseam: Needed pants for two things - walking the dogs and watching my sons Lax games in the rain. While dog walking isn't overly strenuous they must be pretty breatable because they were very comfortable - no claminess at all from walk. Definitely waterproof and windproof. Not as noisy as I expected when walking. Fit is very consistent with other pants of same size - but more "adult" sizing vs "young men" sizing.

Comments about The North Face Waterproof Breathable Venture Pants - Men's - Short 30" Inseam: My gf got me these pants for Christmas to take on trips to Costa Rica and England in the coming year. The pants fit a little small and long, so I ended up exchanging a large regular length for the extra large short length; I wanted extra room for layers underneath. I think the new ones will be great for throwing on as a top layer in damp or cool conditions. The pants don't breathe super well, but I've yet to find a dependable pair of waterproof pants that aren't do. The best part about these pants is that they are super light weight and easily fold up into almost nothing in your pack. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and will be using them for years.

No these are a hiking shell pant so they are not designed with articulated knees like a rain shell for biking. You may want to look at the Shower pass rain pants.
