Comments about The North Face Jester Backpack: Got it for 6-year old as the cheap ones just keep breaking. This one should last well into middle school. A little big for now, but not too heavy or oversized. Comfortable and good padding. Very durable, well put together and sylish enough (red plaid) to keep him happy. Invest in a good pack.

Comments about The North Face Jester Backpack: I bought this backpack to replace an older school backpack. However, there is no reason why it wouldn't also be great for day hikes. The two pockets on the side are ideal for water bottles and the backpack also includes hip and chest straps to help carry the load. The backpack stitching and the material is absolutely incredible. The bag is somewhat short and the back pad is hard.
