Comments about Merrell Moab Gore-Tex XCR Low Wide Men's Hiking Shoe: I need walking shoes that were wide, rugged, and waterproof, and so far I am satisfied with these shoes. I am still breaking them in and am pleased with the fit and solid feel. As they loosen up and the sole wears I will know more about them.

Comments about Merrell Moab Gore-Tex XCR Low Wide Men's Hiking Shoe: I was not comfortable at the beginning with the inner sole but il moulded to my feet and after it became as being barefoot. I walk a lot and I am great about it. Good traction and support on any ground

Comments about Merrell Moab Gore-Tex XCR Low Wide Men's Hiking Shoe: Comfortable lightweight, my second pair: so I know they are durable. If there is a fault it would be low cushioning underfoot but that helps keep the weight down.

Comments about Merrell Moab Gore-Tex XCR Low Wide Men's Hiking Shoe: I'm a big fan of Merrell now, after putting about a comfy few hundred miles on a pair of their boots, I got these for a fast paced volunteer trip to the Cambodian countryside (and dayhikes/messing around afterwards). It held up wonderfully, great support, no blisters, and the Gore-tex worked well for the 2 weeks of running around all day on all kinds of terrain and the Vibram outsoles give fantastic grip. I'm going to be using them for backpacking in the extremely flat terrain of Florida.

If I am out hiking and it rains. Will these shoes survive if I continue hiking int he rain?2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The shoes will stay drier than a non Goretex lined shoe. You should be able to hike on many a rainy day without any undue damage to this shoe.VERIFIED BUYER
A:
They have for me! Merrells look pretty cheap, but I've had pretty good long-term luck with them... can't speak for all their footwear, but these ones are good.
