Comments about Campmor Men's Cascade II Rain Pants - 31" Inseam: I purchased these rain pants to wear underneath my snowpants while alpine skiing and ski racing in wet weather conditions. They work very well at keeping my legs completely dry. Since these pants do not breathe, they're perfect to wear when the weather is below zero to keep my legs warmer while skiing.

Sure, GoreTex would breathe better. But at this price, for occasional use on a hike or camping trip when staying dry is important, these can't be beat for the price.

These are a rain pant. So you would use these for afternoon rain storms and these would work well, however a Storm Venture is better because it is breathable.
